Kumiko Lamp (Asanoha Style)
This kumiko lamp is made with the traditional Asanoha style pattern. It means hemp leaf in Japanese and is often used on baby clothing because of the plant's vigorous growth and also stands for strength as well as beauty. This particular lamp is made with 291 individually cut pieces of wood that are carefully fitted together. The frame is made of walnut and the panels are made of pine for a nice visual contrast. The mulberry paper used to line the inside of the panels is very durable and offers a beautiful and unique diffusal of the light from inside. The lamp also comes with a Philips Hue smart bulb that allows it to be turned on and off traditionally with the switch on the cord or alternatively can be controlled and dimmed from your phone or smart home device including Alexa and Google Home.
